Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

We are an insured business with Public Liability insurance and we insure all workers under our Workers Compensation Policy. Majority of air conditioning units come with a 2 year commercial manufacturers warranty and 5 year residential manufacturers warranty and on all new installation we provide a 1 year installation warranty.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Straight out of school started as an apprentice with friends in the industry. My knowledge grew as did my passion. There is more then just installation when it comes to air conditioning. So many factors need to be taken into choosing the right system and i love being able to do that with various people.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

A lovely family in Cherrybrook were recommended by a friend. We designed an Actron ESP digital energy efficient system and provided her with information on it. She automatically asked for the Actron ESP Plus once she saw the benefits. She was extremely happy with the turn around of the unit and the professionalism taken on byt the team. a year later there was an error on her AC unit we took care of it and organised everything with the manufacturer who went out within 48hrs and repaired the unit, all for FREE, she was satisfied with the service on the day of installation and the service and care taken to ensure her system was repaired.She was very happy with the after service. Thats always encouraging that we are doing something right when you hear their gratitude in their tone over the phone.

What do you like most about your job?

Every job is different. Although we may install the same unit each customer may want it in a certain location or have numerous zones on their system. At times it can be challenging to design the perfect system to suit the clients need but its a challenge we love to achieve.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Have they had educational training and successfully completed their certificates in AC installations. Are they insured? Do they have warranties and guarantees on their product adn services? Do they have their ARC license allowing them to handle refrigerant gas?

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

What is the difference between a split and ducted?  A split system comes with one indoor unit and one outdoor unit so you need to be strategic with the chose location if you want it cool a couple of areas such as the living and kitchen area. A ducted system comes with one outdoor and one indoor but attached to the indoor units are runs of ducting allowing you to air condition more parts of your home or business. You can add zoning to ducting systems allowing you to control airflow to where you want it and when you want it. They are designed for larger areas.

A customer should always shop around, but dont just settle for the cheapest. You need to compare apples with apples and read up on the AC system you are choosing. Whether they want just a room or the entire house air conditioned. Type of system they are after. Size of where needs to be cooled or heated.  Budget they are wanting so we can design an effective system to this.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

We come out and design and quote for free. They save money right away with Epicair. If they are after a service because they feel like their air conditioning system is not functioning as well as it should be they can always clean their filters. Ensuring you have clean filters regularly increases the life span of the AC unit.

What makes your pricing competitive?

We are both an Actron Air and LG air conditioning Dealer, meaning the manufacturers trust us to install their products and give us a better rate on the air conditioning unit themselves. That saving is then passed on to our customers. If we dont pay full price then neither should you!!

How do you normally charge for your service?

Our quotations are made up of materials and labour. for serives we charge an $88.00 call out fee and $22.00/ 15 mins we are there. This exclude the price for spare parts if there is a fault with any part or component.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

We major in installations both residential and commercial. we prefer residential because of the customer satisfaction afterwards. We have been trained by suppliers on multi split systems and vrv systems they are for commercial and residential property that need more then one space air conditioned but do not have the roof space to suit a ducted.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

Been working in the industry for 12 years. Have my certificate III in electrotechnology and refrigeration. I have my insurances for all employees and i have my ARC licence allowing me to handle refrigeration gases.
