How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I love variety and knew that I would never succeed in a simple 9-5 job. I had a constant love for film and video content, and this drove me to succeed in a tough industry.

I had to do a video for a waterpark once, filming on location. It wasn't open yet and didn't have any water in it. That took a moment.

I love the variety and excitement every day that I get knowing that each job is unique, with different requirements and images.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

As a rule the most important thing to ask any videographer is for previous examples of their work, not just their showreel. Showreels are by their very nature the absolute best work the cameraman has ever done, which might not reflect the reality of an individual video.

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

"How long does the filming take" - this really depends on what we're filming. Sit-down interviews commonly take an hour or so, with 20 minutes of setting up either side, but this does rather depend on who's giving the interview. "How many crew?" I generally film on my own

Before I send a quote I'd need as much detail about the video content that you require as possible. Have you done similar videos before? Send me the links across. Do you require multiple filming days? How about scriptwriting? Generally a solid conversation will help clarify everything you need.

The best way to save money regardless who you are working with is: - have a plan, especially when it comes to editing - have 1 person from your team giving feedback to me, not the whole office - use me as much as possible on the filming day

What makes your pricing competitive?

I have my own kit, including camera, editing and lighting, meaning I can be flexible to suit any budget. All my kit is the fastest possible, including a full-spec Macbook Pro and 4K filming equipment.
