Yes all members of the band have PLI. We have never disappointed and audience, and always do our due diligence in advance to ensure we play to either enhance or set the vibe of the event

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

After playing in various bands over the years, we wanted to have a trio where we could play our favourite songs that you don't often hear covered - all in one place. We play older-style tunes as we regularly perform at retirement and aged care homes which we find very rewarding!

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

There are so many! But one of our favourites was when we were playing at a market and a man came up to tell us that seeing us play had encouraged him to play guitar more. A few weeks later performing at the same markets, he came to tell us that he had just done his first live performance!

What do you like most about your job?

Fred's Ginger love bringing a smile to people's faces, and getting them tapping their feet and bopping along. Many people end up having a dance - which is the greatest compliment!

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

We are regularly asked if we would play someone's event, we give them our card and provide quote upon contact.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

We have never cancelled a gig at the last minute and have substitute players in case of any illness, so you can always trust we will be there for the show and make it an excellent one.

We absolutely love what we do and aim to ensure we bring to any event the perfect mix of sass and style. We are always asked back where possible as people just love our shows!

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

- location, date and time of the event - how many hours do you need us to perform for - will you provide the PA/mics etc or do we need to bring ours - will you be requesting additional songs to be learnt and performed - dress code - do you want 'background' music, upbeat or a mix of both

How do you normally charge for your service?

Prices start from $450 for the trio. If you are interested in booking Fred's Ginger, we can provide you with further information including rates, song lists and set up options (we can provide our own PA if required).

Audiences young and old love to boogie and sing-along during our performances, which include a mix of 1940s, 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s classics - with a peppering of traditional and modern tunes.

The members of Fred's Ginger have played music together for many years, in both original and cover bands. We offer a wealth of live performance experience from playing function spaces, pubs, clubs, markets, community events, weddings and private parties.
