Gary Ede, Photographer

I have spent more than 40 years in the photographic industry as a photographer, writer, teacher and consultant. My photographs are held in the collections of the National Portrait Gallery and National Library of Australia as well as the State Library of NSW. My career began in London in the 1970′s and, until I moved to Australia in 1980, I worked mainly for magazine and book publishers. I photographed authors, celebrities, bands and people of all sorts. Since arriving in Sydney I have shot for many Australian and International corporations and have completed thousands of editorial assignments for leading publications. Though I’m best known as a people photographer my work has included advertising, architectural, industrial and corporate photography.
