How did you decide to get into your line of work?
As the Director of Giari, I have a strong background in finance. My first entrance into the world of finance was when an insurance company approached me with a proposal to join the team and offer financial advice in terms of insurance in the form of commercial as well as personal policies.
Since then, I have continued to progress in finance and leave my mark in the industry.
What do you like most about your job?
Every case is different which is one of the most exciting features of financial services. Everyone has their own goals, objectives and situations, so it's up to us at Giari Finance to ensure we understand that and find solutions to better the lives of our customers.

As a financial services broker, we constantly undergo training to remain up to date with industry changes as well as keeping ahead with changes in legislation.
We also have formal agreements with each of our lenders to ensure that product training is routinely delivered to our staff so that we can answer your questions and provide the most suited financial products.

How do you normally charge for your service?
In some cases there can be a broker fee payable for the financial services done in complex loans or requests. Generally, our services are paid as a commissions by the lender / bank.
Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?
We are an insured company and hold professional indemnity insurance as industry requires brokers to have. In order to be a member of the FBAA and accredited, it is mandatory to obtain PI Insurance cover.
What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?
We'll require your personal information, such as income, identity, job status and other information in order to establish your objectives, verify identity and calculate borrowing capacity versus repayments.
All the required information will be discussed under confidential agreements.
What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?
Some of the most common questions are:
1. How much can I borrow - the answer to that question depends on each individual’s lifestyle and financial situation. It also depends on what it is they want to purchase and the objective or reasons for the loan request.
2. What is my interest rate - the rate depends on the type of product, the option selected (for example fixed or varied), the term, loan type as well as risk.
3. Why must I use a broker - a great question with a great answer. A broker often has the ability to offer a range of options from different lenders. Meaning you don't have to spend weeks researching the ideal loan product. Brokers have all the comparison tools, calculators and products that suit and they can help streamline your application. Another great benefit is the opportunity to ask for advice and become better informed before making any large financial decisions.
