Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

Yes we are a fully insured business and I guarantee my planning and management services and the work that I undertake but this does not cover other service providers that we may recommend or that the bridal party may select. We do ensure though that other service providers are insured.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I have always been an organiser since I was a little girl. I think a natural progression to events was inevitable, but I really like the lists, the ideas and seeing it all brought to life. Enjoying research and now with the internet it's so much easier to be able to source ideas, suppliers & images

I think to be able to witness your clients seeing their plans and dreams come to fruition, and the bond that develops with your client over the journey of the event organisation.

Being able to work with clients to help them plan their dream day or event. Sometimes it also needs to the be planner than can help bring them to reality in relation to their budget, but to find a way to be able to deliver their ideas for the budget that they have.

Experience, history, reliability. In terms of wedding planning the client needs to feel confident and also that they can get on with their wedding planner. A face to face meeting or chat over the phone can usually determine this too. A client needs to do some of their own homework too.

Clients normally just want to know that you'll be there to support them every step of the way, and that you are available to answer their questions or calm them down as the planning progresses.

Over 20 years experience, lots of repeat clients over the years, and the fact that I go way beyond to provide support and assistance to all my clients. I also will provide advice to clients on best way forward, which doesn't always mean that they listen!

Date, number of people they might want on the guest list, how much of the wedding planning and co-ordination they wish to do themselves.

Give thought to what you might like for your wedding. Potential venues, some idea of number of guests and possibly some inspiration photos.

It is difficult to obtain particular pricing for Oneflare only, as it is very dependant on what the bridal party require in terms of service costs and offerings.

How do you normally charge for your service?

I can offer set fee for service (such as the packages listed on my website) and charge additional services either by the hour or can be quoted as part of a package. 25% deposit up front, and the balance either in instalments or 4 weeks prior to the event.

Previously more of a focus on corporate and large conferences, but more recently the focus on weddings and other special event celebrations. My main skills and experience are in planning and management, but I have lots of trusted suppliers such as stylists, florists, venues that I love working with

I have over 20 years experience in event management and planning, 12 years running my own conference and event business as well as a background in public relations, marketing and administration. I have qualifications in public relations, journalism and communications.
