How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I had a cladded home and while i was walking around it, i noticed how dirty it was and how it badly needed washing down. I thought that would be a great business.

In 2000 a customer required their house washed in preparation to have it repainted. At the end of the job they thanked me for saving them tens of thousand of dollars as they felt they no longer needed to repaint.

Meeting different people and helping them with their concerns. Seeing the supprise on their face when they see how great the job turned out. The outdoors. The flexibility of work hours.

Will the pressure remove paint? If the paint is sound then no. If it is cracked and peeling it might remove some in the very bad areas but it will not strip the paint off. Will the cleaning solution harm animals or plants? No, the cleaning solution is bio degradable.

Experience. Their is no substitute for experience. I have been washing houses since 1997. In that time I have done over 12,000 homes. Many people have me come back every year or two to maintain the appearance of the most valuable asset they have . Their home.

In my line of work the biggest thing they can do is to remove rubbish and tidy up around the house. Remove electrical items, cardboard and paper products, clothes shoes and material items.

Because I do direct marketing and have accumalated over 12,000 clients I do 12 - 15 jobs a week. Compared to others who rely soley on the internet for jobs, they would be doing much less than this so they need to charge more.

Depending on the area, a single storey basic house wash consisting of Walls, Eaves, Fascia and exterior surface of gutters $253 - $396. Driveways on average $297
