I have public liability insurance for protection and I guarantee that you will be happy with my service and your photographs.  At our initial meeting I find out what type of photography you are after before the photo shoot to avoid disappointment.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

Making friends, I am very interested in my clients and especially love to watch their babies grow from the Maternity session through the sessions up to their 1st birthday cake smash.  I have customers who continue to come to me far beyond their first birthday.  I am genuinely interested in all of my clients and it is great when they are return clients.

What do you like most about your job?

I love meeting new clients and getting to know them and their families,  and to have the privilidge to have been chosen by my clients to take their portraits is an honour.  I love everything about photography from taking the great shots to the editing and to see the looks on clients faces when they receive their final product is very rewarding.  I travelled to Queensland photographed a lovely family on Rainbow Beach and got to see the sights as well, love my job....

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

What to wear?  would be the most common of all questions my clients ask me.  I have an information sheet that is sent out to clients and it outlines all the FAQS that they make want to think about before they attend the photo session.

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

Accepted Answer

I provide professional photo sessions and at the same time make it fun, I provide excellent customer service and your photos are provided on either DVD or USB or CANVAS prints and COLLAGES.   I am prepared to travel to locations in the Newcastle and Hunter Valley areas.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

1 - I need to know how many people are to be photographed,  2 - The location - if you have a favourite place that you love to go to then this is usually great as you will also feel very relaxed here. 3 - The time 4 - What type of photo session are you after, studio or location

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Accepted Answer

Sometimes saving money means thinking outside of the box.. 1 - If you're friends are thinking about having photos take and you are too then you might be able to schedule the same day and save money on the session fees. 2 - If you are thinking of having family photos taken, work out what you are looking for as far as the photos go.  Do you want them to be spontaneous (not posed),  If you have small children make sure you schedule when it is not their nap time.  Another thing to consider is where do you want the photos taken. 3 - It is always a good idea to look at the photos that the photographer has taken, look at their website and facebook galleries, this makes it an easy process to see what type of photos they have.  Then talk to the photographer.  You will want someone who you are comfortable with and who is going to bring out the best in you and your family at the photo session.

What makes your pricing competitive?

My pricing is very competitive and I also have sales from time to time and offer options of add ons to packages if my clients wish to add on more photos.   Some clients prefer to order a large canvas print and take the photos that they have on their canvas collage on USB for printing later for families and friends or just to put in their photo albums or keep them on their hard drive to show.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Simple pre paid packages for families, couples, newborns, couples and weddings.  I do have specials now and again and you can also add on to your packages if you so wish.  I have set packages for dance studios and sporting group photos.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

I really love  Maternity and Newborn photography, it is great to build a rapore with Mums and Dads to be and then have the privilige to photograph their newborn baby and to see how proud they are of their new little bub.   I do have a special package for Maternity, Newborn, 6months and 12 months which is culminated with a Trash the Cake photo session on baby's first birthday to celebrate.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I have worked as a photographer for the past 15 years and studied studio photography at RMIT as well as undertaking numerous online and face to face hands on courses including studio, children and wedding photography.  I still continue to attend courses and stay updated with new technology.
