Jocelyn holds the unique combination of being both a Clinical Sexologist and Relationship Therapist, having a Certificate in Sexual Reproductive Health, a Graduate Diploma in Couple Therapy and a BA of Nursing. What is sexology? The most beneficial introduction to my practice is to answer this commonly posed question. Sexology is the study of human sexuality that examines sex through multiple, overlapping lenses: interpersonal, politics, sociology and biology, to name but a few. A sexologist has training to assist individuals and couples with sexual issues. Each of us deserves and has the capacity to live a healthy sexual life. If it is not already obvious, I am a sex-positive individual and practitioner. In line with the World Association for Sexual Health’s (WAS) Millennium Declaration of Sexual Rights, I believe sexual pleasure is a vital component of wellbeing since sexual interaction is healthy and uplifting.
