Frequently Asked Questions
Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?
I'm a full accredited member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography. I provide my clients with beautiful lasting memories, offer exceptional customer service, am competent and reliable.
What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?
I have been photographing weddings for 8 years, I am a full accredited member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography. I won the Highly Commended Award at the Central Coast Brides Choice 2016 out of 60+ photographers.
Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?
I photograph weddings, families, babies (not newborn), events, sporting teams. Weddings is 80% of my work with the majority on the Central Coast and the Hunter Valley.
How do you normally charge for your service?
I offer packages with either a full day coverage (from brides preparations till after bridal waltz), to a shorter period of time (5-6) hours or hourly rates are available for weddings which require fewer hours. Printed products such as albums and prints are available too.
What makes your pricing competitive?
I work from a home studio, I have low overheads so I can offer my services at very reasonable prices.
Are there any special offers you would like to offer to Oneflare customers?
For every wedding booked from Oneflare, I would love to offer a complimentary 16'x24' canvas of one of their wedding images.
What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?
Wedding date and wedding locations. Approximately how much photographic coverage they require and if they are considering purchasing an album.
Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?
Yes I do have public liability insurance and I guarantee my clients have always been happy with their wedding images. Please check out my Facebook page reviews!
What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?
I answer emails promptly and professionally. I am always on time and prepared for each job I undertake. This includes visiting venues if I have never been there before. I have 2 cameras, and multiple flashes and lenses and shoot to 2 cards.
What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?
I think it's important to meet with the service professional where possible. I don't recommend always choosing someone based solely on price, specifically with photography. There is a big difference in viewing images online and viewing them in print. Clients should ask if there is a limit to the amount of images they receive, if they include black and white, if there is back up equipment in case of camera failure, are the images watermarked, will the photographer view the venue prior if they haven't shot there before.
What do you like most about your job?
The fact that I get to create beautiful images from such an important day in peoples lives and be a part of all the hype and emotions. It's very rewarding.
How did you decide to get into your line of work?
I always enjoyed photography and it was when I had my second child I started to dabble a bit more in photography taking photos of children. I then tagged along to a few weddings with another photographer and that's how I got my start in weddings.
What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?
Can they come and meet with me and view my work - Yes most definitely and I recommend they do. It's nice to meet the person who will be with you the majority of your wedding day.
A lot of customers ask if they can come back to me later to purchase an album - yes they sure can.
Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?
I have had so many wonderful couples send me thank you cards or flowers with beautiful messages saying how much they love their images, with so many referring me to their friends and family.
How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips
Discounts are given to printed products when included in a wedding photography package upfront. This includes items such as canvases, thank you cards, engagement sessions, framed prints, acrylic prints or blocks.
