How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I was given a camera when I was 12 and loved running around taking photos and printing them off and sharing them. Working in the Live Events Industry, I decided to document the shows I worked on and then was often asked to capture photos for groups. The rest is history really.

My favourite customer story would have to be for Megan Cannings Designs. Having her trust me to take amazing photographs for her label is something that I truly appreciate. The partnership with her and her label is one that I enjoy immensely.

I love interacting with my clients. Seeing them enjoy their session or when I deliver their products, that's what I love most. Knowing that I've exceeded their expectations and given them something to cherish for ages to come. I also love the uniqueness of the job. Nothing is ever the same.

A great question to ask when looking for the right professional is 'What experience do you have?'. Any good professional can answer this question straight-up and provide examples of their work to you. This is a great way to find the professional that's right for your needs.

The most common question I receive is 'How much?'. I answer this question by asking questions about the service they expect, the product they want delivered and the time they require the service for. This question can be easily answered with a consultation which I provide at no cost.

When providing a quote, I always look for when the services are required and how long you require the services for. I do this so I can better tailor a package to suit you, or charge for my time. I always look for the most cost effective option for the client.

Every job is unique, so it's hard to choose one hard and fast rule for charging for my service. If it's an event or products, I charge per hour. If it's a portrait session, I have many packages available to cater for everyone's needs and costs.
