How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Business owner Taryn J Mathis started Lift Corporate in 2014 after 10 years in the corporate world.  She knew the challenges she had faced whilst navigating her career and progression through the many levels of business management.  Passionate about empowering others to succeed and assisting them in laying the foundation to get wherever they wanted to go, Taryn combined her passion, professional experience and education and thus, the concept of Lift Corporate was born.

What do you like most about your job?

I love the challenge of my work and satisfaction of a happy customer.  It is a great feeling to be a part of a business solving problems or overcoming issues and watching the organisation to have great success.

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

The most common question that new customers ask me is, "We are starting a new business and have no idea what to do, can you help?"  Additionally, I get asked, "Can you help us with our processes?  We have them, but they're not documented."

It is important for you to provide information about your organisation and its needs prior to Lift Corporate providing a quote.  The information includes:  timeframe for project; confidentiality level; reason for reaching out to a consulting business (i.e. What you hope to gain).

In order to save some money on consulting services it's best to do three key things prior to your first consultation.   1:  Identify what your specific issue(s) are 2:  Consider your timeframe in which the issue needs to be solved 3:  Consider who the key people in your business are that will assist in providing information to resolve the issue(s)

Taryn's professional background is in Consulting, Project and Operations Management, and training and mentoring throughout Australia and the United States.  Her range of consulting clients has varied from family business owners to global corporations.  Through Taryn’s experience, she has worked within many different industries and practices including:  food & beverage; higher education; local and state government; not-for-profit; retail; sales & marketing; training; executive management.  In addition, she has multiple academic achievements including: MBA; MAcct; BA Spanish; BA International Studies.
