Suzanna hired Love is Light PhotographyVerifiedNov 28, 2018Job Type: Wedding PhotographyLocation: Blacktown, NSWJob Description: Outdoor wedding in Blacktown, NSW (Nurragingy Reserve- Jannawi Gardens). Definitely want ceremony & bridal party photographed. If budget allows, it would be great to have main parts of reception photographed. Reception is immediately after bridal party photoshoot. Ceremony starts at 2-3pm and reception from 4:30-8pm but main events (first dance & cutting of cake) can be done first so that photographer can leave.Suzanna's review

He went to the wedding venue (centennial park) and walked around the park and did all the research before our big day. You can really tell he put lots of effort ( I think he probably put more effort than me). My husband does not like taking photos, however, Brendan made the whole photo process very funny and natural; my husband was quite comfortable taking photos with Brendan and we now have lots of lovely photos. We received our photos super quick! I know some photographers take months and months to get photos done! Overall, super happy with Brendan’s service and highly recommended! Read more
Frequently Asked Questions
Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?
I'm a photographer offering end-to-end service.
From researching portrait locations to shooting your wedding day. From editing and retouching to creating your album, everything is done by me personally.
I am the photographer who will be on your team throughout your special day.
When you book with me the work will never be entrusted to anyone else. That’s guaranteed.
What do you like most about your job?
I love meeting new people and hearing your stories. I'm always traveling to new places and discovering inspiring locations.
It's energising and rewarding to create something really special for couples that they will keep forever.
Photography is unique in the way things can happen in front of the camera, elements mix in unexpected ways and an image is created that I'd never have thought of. That's gold.
What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?
I have over two decades of experience shooting weddings, fashion, creative portraiture and advertising.
My experience gained over the years gives me the skills and flexibility needed to adapt to any situation. I'm cool under pressure and a creative problem solver.
What I enjoy most is capturing authentic and natural images that are timeless, beautiful and meaningful.
Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?
I carry Public Liability Insurance up to $10,000,000.
All work is guaranteed. It's important to me that you love your wedding day photos.
How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips
Make sure you meet a prospective photographer in person. This is so important.
Visit popular wedding studios and you'll too often you'll find yourself dealing with a sales manager. It's their job to meet sales targets, not capture the magic of your special day. They are obliged to assign you a photographer from an ever-changing roster of freelancers. You will have no idea who is going to be your wedding photographer. That creates stress you don't need.
These days with digital technology it's easier than ever for someone new to capture at least one decent shot in the course of a wedding day. It's also a simple matter to put together a portfolio over time of twenty comparable shots. Don't be fooled. Such a portfolio is worthless. Often these pictures are the no more than the result of luck rather than skill.
Only the most experienced and skilled photographers can maintain a consistently high standard throughout your wedding day. Make sure you get to see a set of at least 200 to 300 photographs from one wedding. Can the photographer deliver consistent results?
Watch out for watermarks (small company logos embedded in images) and other tricks that can be used to force you to incur unexpected additional costs.
Make sure you will have full access to your high res files. That way your options are open when sourcing albums and prints.
What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?
Q: Do I have complete access to my high res photos?
A: Yes, it's your special day and I believe you should have all your photos.
Q: How long till I get my photos?
A: One to two weeks. Really it depends on how busy the time of year is. I know everyone is waiting to see the pictures and I like to keep the momentum of the wedding day going, editing while everything is fresh in my mind.
Q: Do you work with a second photographer?
A: I personally prefer to work solo. In my experience too many people with cameras hanging around can be a real party pooper. Often guests can become uncomfortable, feeling they're being watched the whole time.
What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?
Planning and preparation are the best stress reducers.
I pay attention to all the little moments on your wedding day. Nothing is left to chance.
Wedding photographs grow in value as time passes. I care deeply about the images we make together and think about what they'll mean to you in twenty years time.
I derive great joy and satisfaction from my 25 years as a photographer.
I’m experienced, driven and motivated.
