Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

Accepted Answer

Yes I have Public Liability Insurance.   This is social media and 2019. I guarantee I will do my best, work as hard as I can and complete your job. Can I guarantee 10x sales? No. I don't think anyone could truly say that truthfully. Hopefully though!

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

In high school I made surfing videos, like every other surfer, but I wanted mine to be better so invested into video and increased my skills. I started to tell stories through video and loved it. I moved into weddings and then business videos and here we are. I also just genuinely love technology.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

One of my clients works in the construction industry. They probably have the money to hire a massive organisation to do filming and editing. But I believe that my excitement and interest in their products that I had even before filming and translating that into a video is why they keep hiring me.

I get to tell stories and show people, businesses, products, events, lifestyles, communities and more in a different way. I enjoy looking for the exciting/inspirational/emotional angle that the focus of the video deserves.

Why do you do film and editing? Do you have confidence in your skills? Does our product/event/business interest you? (having interest in the product etc. isn't necessary, but helps for a better result if they are. Or could be a sign your product etc. needs an exciting video that they could bring?

Because I love doing it and I know how to do it! I love telling peoples stories and their products. I love learning too. I am trusted by some pretty big companies and businesses and its just me and Im not going anywhere. I will be transparent and you will talk to me, not a subcontracted editor.

I have built a strong professional client base who trust me. I also have a genuine joy for my work and love learning. I love pushing the limits, which in advertising is what is needed these days, especially on social media.

Who are you? What is your business? What are your strengths? What are your weaknesses? Why do you need a video? (Every business needs a video - why do you?)

1 - PLAN IT OUT! Even if you're the worst drawer, use clip art or Canva.com, this means we can get straight to work. 2 - Source your own talent -It takes time to find people to be in the videos, can your employees or you be in it? 3 - Have fun! Trust me, having fun will decrease time and pay off!

I had to think about this one. I don't want to offer something that would mean making a 'not to the best of my abilities' outcome. You'll just have to trust me it'd be worth choosing me.

What makes your pricing competitive?

Though I am not the cheapest you will find, I believe my pricing is competitive. You can find someone cheaper and receive a cheap job, you can also pay too much, I have worked hard to find that line and keep affordable. Local advertising agencies have mentioned I have very competitive pricing.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Quotes. Different jobs in different locations require a different quote. If local, I like to meet up for a coffee, if distant, I like to Skype or FaceTime, learn about you and your business and get to know it, find out what you need and how I can help and build a quote form there.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

Social Media Marketing! I have made ads for cinema and had a documentary played as a short in cinemas and played on television, though, I find social media so much more interesting. It may not be a traditional niche, however, an understanding of social media is essential today.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I have completed my B/Communication Majoring in Media Production at the University of Newcastle.  Training and qualifications can be funny though. The best training I have had is consistently improving my skills by doing it, not listening to someone else SAY how to do it.
