Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

I have full liability insurance and I guarantee my work. I can do this, because I will be honest with you from the start about how the concept will work when it is delivered as a video. If I don't believe in the concept, I wont do it... the camera doesn't come out of the bag until we're all on the same page and believe in the job together.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I started off just casually creating video content. Then it sucked me in to a full blown love, leading me to quit my career and invest 100% in video production which I have now been working in professionally for just on 15 years.

I love it when people see the camera rolling, but they don't actually see what the camera sees. The way the scene is lit and how it comes together in the edit, then showing it to the client and seeing their surprise at how it came out. Always very gratifying. Hearing that you have exceeded expectations is incredibly rewarding.

My favorite part is ALL OF IT!! Locking down the concept, then breaking it down to all the practical components so we can start shooting. Then bringing it into the edit and seeing it come together. That final delivery to a happy client is a rush!

Look at previous examples of their work. There's a lot of people who can talk a big game, but you can't hide behind that forever. Do you like what they've shot, and is it of a quality that you would like your product or service being represented by.

The most common question I get asked is "how much does a video cost?" To answer that, I need to know the concept in detail and how that breaks-down. As you can imagine, there are many variables in producing a video e.g. does it need paid actors/models/animals, how many locations and what type of locations, are extra crew needed, what are the sound recording requirements, is there a need for props etc. I am honest about these costs and whether an idea needs tweaking to produce an effective video.

I quote based on the initial concept, which informs us on how many locations, actors, equipment and other components are required to deliver a quality video. Every video is different, but I always look for solutions to keep costs down without affecting quality.

The most critical aspect of any video is the underlying concept/script. This informs the rest of process e.g. what gear is used, how it is shot and what is required in the edit. Having a clear idea about what you want delivered will greatly speed up the process, thereby keeping costs to a minimum.

A video can be as expensive as you want to make it, but I specialize in wringing out as much production value while keeping the costs low. I've been doing this for over a decade and have learnt a few tricks :)

I specialize in social media video content that provides high production values for the price. I target videos that are 60 seconds or less as this is a video that can be used on Instagram and other social media platforms, but this doesn't mean I do not shoot longer form content.
