We carry a Professional Indemnity Insurance policy. If our design or documentation falls short of the client's expectations, the we will ensure that it is amended or developed to the satisfaction of the cleint.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I started in late high school sketching drawings of my parent's house and designed my first new house before I was married.

We did a small project for Jamie Dunn ( the Agro Character ) which then resulted in a new family house near Coolum, a sound studio, a house in Goondiwindi for a colleagues of his favourite builder and 4 houses in St George.

The most satisfying aspects of my jobs are:- - The look of delight on the client's face at the end of the project. - Being invited to dinner in the new dining room. - Seeing lots of hard and dedicated work in the end product.

Our office is home based so has minimal overhead costs. We are sufficiently competitive to regularly work directly for a group of small residential builders that also need to be competitive in the current market

We determine a fixed fee for each project once we have inspected the site and determined the client brief. The fixed fee includes any amendments needed to the design as the initial documentation is produced.

Metro Concepts specialty is the renovation and addition to houses including older "Queenslanders". It gives me a great feeling of satisfaction to see an old house transformed into a home that gives a family a more exciting and livable environment.

Dennis is a Building Designer with experience in every type of housing project including covered decks a to multiple housing projects. Dennis also registered as a Contractor and built every project that the office designed for about 8 years.
