Our passion lies in seeing a project all the way from conception to completion. This involves site research, sketch design, town planning, detail design, documentation and construction. Watching as the vision in our heads gets erected in concrete, steel, timber and glass is the greatest reward!

Mihaly Slocombe is a young architecture studio established in early 2010 and dedicated to inventive, timeless, environmentally sustainable design. We believe that every project offers the opportunity to change the built environment for the better, a responsibility we take seriously. Be it a new house on a vineyard or a renovation to a Victorian era house in the suburbs, we are passionate about unique solutions that not only meet our clients’ needs, but inspire them, challenge them and bring them closer to the land.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

We tailor our fee proposals to individual projects, as they are all unique. Before we can quote, we need to visit the site, discuss the project brief and get an idea of how much you'd like to spend on construction.

Our typical approach to charging clients is as a percentage of the cost of construction. Our first meeting is always free of charge, during which we inspect your site and learn about your ambitions for your project. After the first meeting, we will put together a fee proposal for your consideration.
