We are fully insured including public liability. We have a Queensland Building and Construction Commission licence which also has an insurance element. We offer a 100% guarantee on all our work.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

A friend of mine many years ago was a floor sander and he needed help with a job he was doing. He asked me to help him for a couple of weeks while I was on holidays. I really loved the work and it just grew from there.

I love taking a raw product, sometimes an ugly product, and turning it into something beautiful. It's nice to see the reaction of some people when they see their new floors.

Have you got an upto date QBSA licence? Are you a member of the Australian Flooring Association? Do you provide free written quotes? Is your work 100% guaranteed?

The most common question asked is how long will the job take from start to finish? Naturally it depends on the size of the job but a good guide is between 2 and 4 days.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

We want your business and are willing to work to get it.   We absolutely love sanding and coating all types of timber floors including decks. You can choose solvent based or water based finishes in Super gloss, semi-gloss, satin or matt. Or if you want more exotic finishes like tung oil.   We have a BSA licence (1136196) which means you are fully insured and are a long time member of the Australian Timber Flooring Association where we regularly attend workshops and seminars to update skills and learn new techniques.  Builders love us doing their sanding and coating because they like a business that is professional, reliable, respectful, has good up to date equipment. Their work site is always left clean and tidy.     We will beat any written quote

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

I do the quotes and then I personally do all the jobs. The customer is dealing with the owner of the business from start to finish, there are no subcontractors involved.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

We need to know how big the job is, the condition of the timber, if there is any glue from vinyl on the timber floor and if there is any stairs that need to be done.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Customers can save a lot of money by taking any floor covering up themselves, by removing the carpet gripper around the edges of the floor and by taking out any staples from the underlay.

What makes your pricing competitive?

We don't use subcontractors on any of our jobs. We don't have to pay any wages, superannuation or holiday pay to anyone and don't pay any rent. We can pass these hugh  savings on to our customers.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Normally we charge by the square meter. The customer's choice of finish also has a bearing on the price, for example water based products are dearer than solvent based products.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

We specialise in sanding and coating with hard wearing solvent based finishes. We also offer water based finishes, tung oil and waxes for interior floors and for external decks Sikkens, Intergrain and Decking oil. Another speciality that is growing in popularity is seamless epoxy flooring which is mainly for garage floors but clients are using epoxy flooring in more diverse areas such as entertainment and BBQ areas. Epoxy flooring turns dull grey stained concrete areas into bright, clean, fresh, stain resistant, easy to clean areas.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

We are a member of the Australian Timber Flooring Association and regularly attend their seminars to keep up to date with new trends and developments. We have formal TAFE qualifications and have been in the business for over 20 years.
