The best thing about the job, and the reason we do it, is to help clients put their vision and their story into a video. We love to create engaging videos, so we never just 'phone it in'. We like to produce work that we can be proud of and that satisfies and surpasses a clients requirements.

Whether you work with Contrast Creative or another provider, be clear what you are getting for your money. Ask what equipment they use and if it is professional standard, what is their past experience, can you view samples?

Most questions are around the turnaround time, which is something we pride ourselves in. We have most photography jobs back to you within 24 hours and videos within 3 working days or sooner, depending on the project.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Generally we like to have a short conversation via email, the phone or OneFlare messages. This is just to confirm dates, the style of work you're after and your budget. We'll then provide a tailored quote, valid for 30 days.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

The biggest piece of advice we can offer in order to save money and maximise the time we are on location is to thoroughly plan your event or occasion. In the Perth Metro area we don't charge for travel or set up time, so if you only need us on site for one hour, we'll only charge for that one hour.

What makes your pricing competitive?

Our pricing is competitive because we offer a high production/big budget feel to our work for a fraction of the cost. We fall nicely into the gap of being small enough that you can talk to us directly, but skilful and knowledgeable enough that we can produce stunning work you might see on TV.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

We can offer a tailored quote for any video or photography project. We ask that 50% is paid prior to work being undertaken to act as a deposit or cover initial costs. The remaining 50% is paid after the project is completed. Although charging per hour is an option, we prefer to charge on a project basis, as that is better value for the client.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

Our speciality is storytelling. A good video can be a collection of nice footage pieced together, but a great video can tell a story, it can inspire those watching and invoke a reaction. We apply our knowledge whether we are shooting a conference or producing a mini-documentary as branded content.

We have worked with a large number of local and national businesses and brands. We are technically savvy, of course, but our biggest selling point is that we understand what works with audiences. Whatever it is that you're trying to achieve, we can make the process that little bit easier.
