How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Getting out of the corporate rat race, we looked at doing something different, and when we looked at what was available out there, the prospect of working with animals made the choice for us!

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

A Schnauzer owner asked us to come out and perform a Schnauzer Breed Cut.  The poor little guy was pretty matted and messay, but after some work out came a beautiful example of the Breed.  The owner was so happy, and said that no other groomer had even come close to this type of service.  They made a special effort to go to our facebook page and leave a review.  It was exciting to see such a stately man with his beard and eyebrows.  His photos are in our profile if you would like to take a look!

What do you like most about your job?

We are a family that loves animals.  We take great pride in being professional and caring, and there is a moment each appointment when we greet the owner and dog where it is like seeing an old friend again.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Do you use professional tools?  Have you got hypoallergenic soaps and conditioners?  Do you ensure a full dry off for each client?  Do you have a deep clean service that can be used in between full grooms to keep the warm winter coat?

Do you clip the nails?  Yes we do, every dog. Do you completely Dry off the Dog?  Yes we do, every dog. Do you come to our home?  Yes we do. What do you need from us?  Just a power point and sometimes a Hose connection.

Our website speaks for itself.  We get most of our jobs through recommendation from happy customers, not through aggressive marketing.  We take pride in what we do, and will stay later than normal business hours to ensure the service is done to the best of our ability.

We are groomers that have a passion for animals, and love what we do.  We take care with every doggie client, and make sure that both they and their owners are happy with what we do!

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Accepted Answer

If you are able to remove heavy knotting and matting before we arrive, then you can potentially save some money on a groom service.  Brushing out the dog can also make a difference if they have a large amount of loose hair.  This would have to be assessed when the groomer arrives however and may not make a large difference.

We have a special of $60 for a full groom for a small dog, this pricing is based on a clean/unmatted coat.  This is one of the most competitive prices in the market!

Being a family based business, and not franchised, we are able to keep our prices competitive.  We are constantly checking pricing in the areas we service, and because we come to you, we save you money as well!

We have a pricing system based on the size of dog, and the condition of the coat.  We have a range of services that we perform, from a simple wash and dry, to a full groom.  Our accept cash payments

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

Some groomers only wash and dry, we take our industrial grade blowers which we have specially purchased from overseas, and use them to perform a deep clean, removing all body dust and loose hair before we even put some breeds into the bath!  Especially effective for larger dogs with double coats such as Huskies, and Alaskan Malamutes.
