As a Registered BAS agent we hold Professional Indemnity Insurance.  We will also guarantee our work and will correct any identified  mistakes if any free of charge.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I have worked for various commercial businesses and chartered accounting firms for most of my adult life and decided to venture out on my own in 2008 and started Office Overload Solutions in New Zealand and have launched the business in Australia in 2015 and relaunched in New Zealand and South Africa

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

All of our customers who come on board with us using our Xero software or any of the other cloud software and add on software solutions experience at least a 50% time saving in their day to day bookkeeping. As we know that time = money and that means they have a 50% reduction in bookkeeping fees. It is now more important than ever to automate the stuff that is holding you back from delivering exceptional services to your clients at all times. Don't get bogged down with the little things that take up so much of your time.

My greatest reward is to be able to empower business owners to grow and flourish in their business and educating and supporting them along that journey.  When they grow, we grow alongside them.

Questions vary depending on the industry.  When asked a question and we do not know the answer we will aways endeavour to find the answers and get back to the client.  Most of the questions we get are around services and pricing and we always disclose what our services are and what we charge.

Number of bank accounts and total bank transactions per month, how many employees, how many sales invoice and purchase invoices each month. How many months worth of data we need to complete.  What format is the data in.  What tax obligations are required.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Ensure they have copies of all their bank statements, receipts, supplier invoices and bills available in month order to make it easy for us to be able to update their information. If they can provide these documents electronically (scanned) it will save so much time. If they are on an existing outdated software package we encourage them to tidy up their invoice, contacts, etc. and possibly move to a cloud version so we can do the job in half the time.

We use the latest software for our clients & ensure that we use all the automation features in the software to ensure we work as fast & efficient as humanly possible.  This also ensures that our clients have updated data daily so they can run their business with current results not outdated figures

How do you normally charge for your service?

We work with our clients on an hourly rate for the first 3 months (if on a quarterly BAS) and then set a fixed fee based on the average fees over the 3 month period.  This ensure the client always knows how much our fees are going to be for cashflow and budgeting purposes.
