  On New Year's Day 2026, I had the awkward problem of both my mobile and one of my Telstra email addresses not functioning. I believed the mobile was almost useless because it did not charge well and kept shutting down. However, when I reached out to Mathew on January 3rd, he gently persuaded me to try charging the mobile for several hours, even though I couldn't see anything happening on the screen. He also suggested I test the charger and cable with other devices to ensure that they worked before attempting the recharge. Success! Then the next issue was setting a new password for the problematic email address on both my laptop and my mobile. This was also achieved calmly and effectively. Mathew asked if there was anything else I needed assistance with, and we spent a while going through many and varied questions that I had accumulated for just such a time. This included my asking him again for advice on Microsoft extended update support for Windows 10 (which he arranged for me there and then) and, with that in mind, the timing of purchasing a new laptop and the options he suggested I look at. All in all, I was so grateful for his expert advice and the thoughtful, patient way he worked remotely with me to resolve the issues on both my laptop and my mobile.
