Frequently Asked Questions
Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?
Photos by Videoccasions is committed to high quality customer service, fast turn around and creative, beautiful images. Hiring Photos by Videoccasions is an investment in yourself.
What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?
Paige Mattsson holds a university degree in Media Arts and has been a professional FULL TIME photographer for over 4 years. Previous to this Videoccasions has existed as a side business/ hobby passion since 2009.
Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?
I love to promote self-confidence through photography. Commercially I love to photograph food, food is always a glorious subject to shoot.
How do you normally charge for your service?
Most clients will receive 2 choices a flat rate which includes all the digital images or an hourly rate where unless specified the images are sold separately. This gives the client flexibility and choice over their cost.
What makes your pricing competitive?
My photography is priced comparatively with other photographers that provide similar service and style to mine. My prices are based on a huge cost of doing business analysis and then compared to at least 3 competitors.

Videoccassions is currently offering $1500 full day photography service for weddings in 2020 or $20 pet photography. Please see my website "services" tab for current specials. https://videoccasions.fotomerchant.com

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?
Years of, experience with many happy customers. Working in a subjective industry that is over-saturated and competitive it is imperative to the survival of the business to be reliable, trustworthy and personable providing consistent service to every client.
What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?
What if it rains? Unfortunately camera equipment does not like the rain so if moving indoors is not an option a re-schedule may be necessary. Why do I need a pre-shoot consult? It is so important for us to be on the same page about what you want from the shoot lets talk about it.
What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?
Never hurts to ask a few personal questions! At the end of the day most photographers charging professional rates will be able to do the job confidently and it might come down to simply, who do you get along with the best?
What do you like most about your job?
I love the flexibility and creativity photography allows me. I am a total night owl and it suits me down to a tea to set my own hours. I love to learn and being an artistic field my style evolves constantly.
Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?
I actually love doing the client feedback survey. One of the truest things I have heard about photography that I now base my whole business around came from a client who found that when she saw her beautiful photos she was filled with self confidence and felt "like a million bucks" all day.
How did you decide to get into your line of work?
I have always wanted to work with cameras, I started in video wanting to be part of the travel and wildlife shows without having to actually star in them. As I went through university the art I could create and the meaning I could make freezing precious moments made me realise photography it.
