QBCC advise that you will only need a pool safety certificate when your selling your property or leasing out your property. When do i need to get a pool safety certificate? QBCC advises that a pool safety certificate will be required before your property sale settlement date or before a new lease/rental commences. If you have concerns about your pool we can perform the inspection outside these requirements. When would a Re-inspection be required? A re-inspection would be required when we are unable to get the pool complaint at the initial inspection and work is require on the fence. Your inspector is allowed to complete minor works and would charge by the hour or quote. Larger works will require appropriate trades. How long does a pool safety certificate last? QBCC advises that a pool safety certificate is valid for 2 years for non-shared pools (most residential houses) and 1 year for shared-pools (unit complexes etc)
