Yes Redbellyblack is insured. I guarantee my work, work ethics and my quality.  When I believe any of this will suffer due to circumstance or environment out of our control I will discuss the matter with you directly to remedy the situation.   However if not happy, refund or reshoot at no charge.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

My father enjoyed photography. As a kid I loved taking pictures on a polaroid in the 70's I guess I just never stopped loving it, I love stills and I love video and I like doing visual presentation and production and all it entails. I have worked for TV stations and Radio stations, love imagery.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

By word of mouth I was asked to do a wedding in Brisbane near where I grew up, amazing day and places I had never seen it was a great job. Even better when his brother got married they too asked me it was even better on the sunshine coast. I got amazing footage in a great location and had a ball.

Variety is what I like most about my job. Meeting different people, helping different people, different environments, different cultures, different jobs, different expectations, different requirements. Different weddings, different events, different performances, different places, different images.

Discuss availability, cost, requirements, expectations, who will be coming, what equipment will be used, what quality can you expect. In short every question you have should be asked as you need to feel comfortable of what you are hiring. I am quite fluid on a job and don't like to set conditions.

In general jobs have always come to me by word of mouth or from people who have seen me work. Question are usually, am I available for, how much would I charge for, what would I recommend for etcetera. I like to provide detailed, honest answers and discuss all pros and cons.

People who know me know I turn up when and where I say I will, I'm usually early. I am also quick to contact if I feel things are going pear shaped. In short though reliability and trust are earned and I hope I can earn that from you.

My dedication to providing a high quality in photography, video production and audio production. I am a qualified film photographer trained at the Australian Centre for Photography in both camera work and darkroom development, this has led to a unique understanding of Digital Production.

Who, What, When, Where and Why!  Who this is for your audience, What it is that we will be recording, When the date and time and expected length, Where exactly where it is located Address or GPS, What is the purpose of the event. Cultural details are also important, expectation is also useful.

The more clear you are on your requirements the more easily I can provide an accurate quote or estimate on time and facilities. If you have any particular wish or request please feel free to discuss them directly with me. Always get a number of quotes and discuss the equipment/experience being used.

My willingness to discuss and negotiate requirements. There are obviously limits to how far I can go for a professional service but I like to remain as liquid as possible and provide the best possible outcome for your dollar spent.

I am happy to provide a full quote for the work to be completed by, also happy to provide an hourly rate for those that are unsure of their final needs. I am competitive, always happy to discuss/negotiate rates if required. For young learners,  always happy to provide budget services to help.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

I now specialise in Studio Portraiture and Product Photography, Wedding Videography and Photojournalism with my factory studio in Waitara. I also teach students photography and Videography at my Waitara Studio and at Abbotsleigh Girls Schools co-curricular activities. I always love new challenges.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

My training is old school in both film photography and broadcast video. I am a certified editor in Avid and Edius broadcast editing software. I have been on Cameras from 1985 for still camera and 1992 for video cameras. I now teach both photography and videography to the new digital age students.
