Helping businesses brings us joy. We could just audit for certification bodies, but there is little reward in spending all your time criticising the way people operate.

Too many. From customers who were reliant on manuals to achieve an outcome which we automated to customers who had a specific issues which we identified and delivered a solution for. Customers who started out small as subcontractors and have grown by virtue of their certification to being able to take the principal contractor role.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

> What are the deliverables? If all you get are documents and a couple of basic spreadsheets, then walk away.  > How much contact time will you receive? Contact time is important to help you understand the management system. If they do an initial consultation and then deliver the management system for you to get on with then you are unlikely to adopt it. > How do you recommend we manage training, customer complaints, non-conformances, improvements suppliers and subcontractors, contract adjustments and assets. If they answer is they have a form for each of these or a basic spreadsheet, then walk away - it won't help you manage these things. If the answer is they are selling you software then carefully investigate the software and the costs before signing up.

How long does the process take? That's very much down to the customer and how quickly they can respond to request for information, how quickly they review the content we deliver and how quickly they are willing to undertake the training we provide.

Five areas where companies need to establish robust processes which provide recorded evidence (which is why we have established bespoke solutions): > Document Management (a process for ensuring important internal and externally sourced documents are controlled, approved for use, withdrawn when superseded) > Training (plans, records, effectiveness evaluations, position requirements) > Asset Management (maintenance and servicing planning, calibration, records) > Complaint handling (risk assessment, issue prioritisation, action planning and verification of action effectiveness. This can then be adapted to be used for non-conformances and improvements too). > Subcontractor / Supplier Management (process for setting requirements, approving, disqualifying, reviewing performance)

Not the cheapest, but no other company provides the same level of service and support. If other companies provide tools, they are usually under an ongoing licensing with ongoing costs.
