Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

Yes I have full insurance for my work practices, including public liability. My equipment is also insured within Aus and NZ.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I have always had an eye for a balance and composition, even as a young 15yr old! this was confirmed in around 2001 when I helped a motocross sports photographer for the 1st time. In minutes I had understood his needs and started shooting great action shots! That was the start of my photo love!

What do you like most about your job?

I love helping people obtain the types of images they cannot reproduce themselves and exceeding their expectations with the finished images.  I enjoy good customer service and treating people how I like to be treated.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Its not always asking the right questions, it ensuring you have researched their past work, and if you like what you see, their style etc, then hire them. How much value do you place on the images you need?

All of my work is built on trust, I complete what I said I would complete to the up most quality.

Professional, honest, great service, good pricing, an eye for detail.  I listen to your brief and we discuss options to ensure a good result.  I'm not the most expensive photographer out there!  :)

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

A brief can be a formal document or a simple email, as long as it details the item(s) to be photographed, the due date, any specific times, the location(s), the usage for the requested images and all contact details.  Enough information to minimise further questions.  A good brief priceless.

How do you normally charge for your service?

My pricing has a structure, mainly based on the hours required to complete a shoot.  I start st $275 which covers up to 2 hours onsite including discussion, set up and shoot time, plus a small fee per finished image which covers the post production editing to bring each image to its best look and feel.  So the client is in charge of their final cost depending on how many images they need or choose.  1hrs car travel time is included.  Depending on the assignment, on occasion parking is extra if within the Melbourne CBD area.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

I specialise in Real Estate and Architectural foremost, plus Events really are great fun too whether a Corporate function or event like a Sporting or Charity event and Gala dinner or a private party like a 40th Birthday party gathering.  Plus of course, portrait / head shots are also such an important part of todays online world.
