Ree hired Simetech IT Pty LtdVerifiedFeb 24, 2020Job Type: Computer RepairLocation: Morisset, NSWJob Description: Hi I have CCTV hard wired -security system UT-UL tech.I realise it is not a quality system, however I just purchased business.System is recording & Im able to view the cameras from my mobile device remotely. Located in Morisset 2264. Hopeful someone can come to business premises and set the settings to record on movement, the times of recording ect .System appears to be operating, can select cameras live view & playback. I am unsure of the settings that are selected, to be certain I gain the movement when I am not there at night, in case of break-in. I am not certain of the perimeters of record time or selection of record all-time or only movement. The system does not call back to a company. Wi-Fi is connected at premises and working. I just require a technician to come for an hour or so, and see that settings can be checked on my system & also then check if that reflects in the mobile remote access app on my phone? I am unfamiliar in this area. Please can someone help? I have the instruction manual.Ree's review

Simetech IT provides a personal, easy to understand, professional I.T. support service with affordable and fair pricing for our services and supplies, with old fashioned customer service, rarely seen these days.

Our staff have worked for small businesses with one or two people up to companies with over 65000 staff. Our skills range from a single computer repair through to maintaining corporate I.T. networking and servers for local government and multinational corporations.

Getting the best performance and reliability out of customer's equipment and offering great value.
Virus removal and Data recovery and protection against loss of data are our key strengths as we all know how painful it is to lose photos of love ones from a computer.
How do you normally charge for your service?
We charge per hour with a minimum of one hour onsite and 1/2 an hour working remotely for once adhoc support. Business customers on monthly support agreements have discounted hourly rates.
Rates (including GST)
Pensioners $88 / hr
Non business customers $121 / hr
Business customers $143 / hr
Customers of OneFlare get a 10% discount for October
Support within 30 mins of the Maitland NSW area does not incur travel charges.
Travel to Newcastle / Belmont / Doyalson / Medowie /Singleton has a $77 fee

We do not charge to come back if we have not fixed a problem, we initially charged for. Many others do
Many businesses will charge for every minute they are working. We are flexible and charge for work done.

10% discount on our hourly rate for customers of OneFlare
The discount is not applicable to any travel charge which may be incurred of more than 30 minutes outside the Maitland area. Happy to discuss.
How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips
1. The old saying, try turning it off and back on first, can fix many issues.
2. Make sure if something is not turning on, check you have power lights. This can be a common fault
3. If your internet is not working, check the DSL light is on steady. If flashing or off, normally means a line fault.
What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?
Where you are located, when someone will be home, any logon passwords, internet access, router passwords etc. can speed support up.
Have you tried turning it off and back on, does your modem / router have lights, internet access etc.
Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?
Yes, fully insured with public liability and fully guarantee our workmanship.
Unfortunately due to the nature of computers though, everything can be working and even clicking on any website, the computer can be infected.
What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?
Simetech IT relies on our reputation and ongoing work through out customers and their friends and family to provide income. We are a small business and have a family to support also, so if we are not getting work, we will be on the street. We look after our customers like family.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?
I originally worked in signalling in the Rail industry and discovered networking and suddenly had a passion for that and that led to working with computers, then servers and they all fit together.
Every day is a challenge and different and I love learning things each and every day.
