How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I have always had a passion and keen eye for photography. When I was a young girl my father and I would take photos of everything. I loved taking photos. Then one day, I had the thought: "why not try and make money from this talent?"

What do you like most about your job?

I love being able to utilise a passion and love of mine. Its crazy to think that a hobby and a skill I love so much can earn me money and can help others receive the photos that they dream of. Its truly a blessing!

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Accepted Answer

Its not so much questions when it comes to photography. Its more that you should tell them exactly what you are after- what your desires are. Don't leave anything out. That was you ensure the professional knows what you expect and what you are wanting so he/she can make sure you get exactly that.

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

Its mainly about hours and cost. I answer them honestly, concisely and as quick as I can. I understand that customers just want a clear and accurate cost and assurance of service and I always deliver that to them.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

I have never cancelled on a client or been more than 10 minutes late to a job, EVER.  I always get the job done and are always successful at capturing perfect moments.

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

Because I always strive my hardest to get the best photos and to take the style of photos my clients desire. I have been doing this for a long time and have years and years of experience, passion and love behind me.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Accepted Answer

- A date, if its specific- So that I can straight away know whether I can do the job or not.  - How many hours of service you are most likely wanting- so I can adjust the price accordingly. Thats it for me, the date will confirm my availability and the hours will determine the price.

What makes your pricing competitive?

All my pricing include the photos and editing- which most photographers charge extra for that.  Plus I try and make my pricing affordable, so that their is a value for money in my service.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

Accepted Answer

I specialise in on-location Photoshoots where my client has multiple wardrobe changes, (perhaps even different themes) and different poses, angles and locations to create a wide variety of looks & styles.  I also specialise in Event Photography - kids parties, religious ceremonies, celebrations etc

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I completed a 3 year degree at the University of Technology, Sydney- a Bachelor of Media and Communication in Film Production. During my time there I learnt how to be a film maker.  I also did an 8 week online Photography course at Shaw Academy and in my final exam I received a 99% score!
