How do you normally charge for your service?
depending on the job can provide hourly rate plus materials at 10% mark up, can also provide a lump sum quote, I also believe in if quoted and it takes less time than estimated then give client some money back.
What makes your pricing competitive?
I will also be negotiable on pricing, prices for materials is based on cost plus 10% mark up generally my labour is $65/hr but I am happy to discuss and Negotiate to provide best price I will try and work with a client to give them the best affordable solution
Are there any special offers you would like to offer to Oneflare customers?
I do give discounts but these are best discussed during the negotiation stage, Pensioners receive between 5 and 10% discount depending on size of job
How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips
Generally materials can be provided cheaper than what the customer can buy, I only use quality products for example some lighting shops only give 3months warranty on most items I provide 12 month warranty or the manufactures which in some cases could be 5years,
What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?
actual quantities of items, if changing items from one thing to another provide photos, is ceiling accessible, where is the manhole from what you want done distance etc, is house high set or on concrete tile roof or tin, how old is the house,
Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?
fully insured have 20 million public liability and 100 thousand property damage insurance, I provide a 12c months warranty on all installations if issue is not associated with works completed by SPH, I will negotiate to rectify issue or fault then and there.
What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?
I will advise a customer on what brands will best suit their requirements and their budget, I believe if you say you will be there at a time you be there or let the customer know you are running late, also treat people the way you want to be treated have respect.
What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?
Customers should always ask to see the contractors license of the service professional, just because someone has an electrical license does not mean they are a contractor,
What do you like most about your job?
I love that as an electrical contractor every job should provide joy, new ceiling fan customer is happy because now they will not be as hot, power point can now plug computer in without a long lead, I enjoy being an electrician.
How did you decide to get into your line of work?
I became an electrician because my parents told me do a trade, so when the guidance counsellor at school called for people interested in an apprenticeship as an electrician I just had to have a go and I have never regrated it.
Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?
with over 30 years in the industry I have seen a lot of dodgy electricians. I will not use cheap Chinese cable or parts for your house I have always said if you wouldn't do or use it in your own home then don't do it in a clients,

why are you more expensive? if you get a written quote which outlines how and what the contractor is doing and what equipment he will supply and if he is using Australian made products then I will try and match or better the quote,

Was $120 dollars dearer on a quote for a client than the guy she went with, he completed the job and 2 months later the client called me to come and fix the install the other guy was no longer taking phone calls and she had a fan that didn't work I fixed it for free and she now calls me first
