  I’ve found Architect Steve Gartsky to be a thorough, committed professional who has the impressive gift of listening to the client’s conceptual intention and working creatively within that goal/s. When there is an unexpected challenging problem, such as, a boundary issue which reduced my space, he was able to work with me to consider how this could be resolved in a way that provided me with a sense of space which, in turn, inspired me to continue the project, while maintaining my original design goals. I found Steve to be patient and willing to explore options, whenever required, and costs were monitored to ensure I stayed close to my budget. Steve is client-focused and any questions I had were clearly addressed. His pricing is competitive and his commitment to a project is exceptional. I believe he’s chosen the right vocation, as architecture seems to be in his bloodstream, and I have already referred him to others because of his ability to be intellectually present to the client’s particular needs. This generates a solid trust relationship and is followed up by his professionalism in delivering their project in a timely, informative, efficient and cost-effective manner.

  Steve is doing some work for us as we re-model our back yard. He is prompt and thorough with communication, ensuring we understand and are happy with every step of the process. He is patient with any delays and is happy to help sourcing additional quotes/information where he sees fit. Steve is very easy to deal with and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a quality architect.

  Yes. I hold and maintain all relevant insurances required to be a practicing Architect. I am a registered architect and perform my work in accordance to the duties outlined in the Architects Act.

• What do you like most about your job?

  Two things. From an individual perspective, seeing something that once existed on paper, built into reality, is quite a thrill. From a client - architect relationship perspective hearing positive feedback both through the design process and upon building completion, is very satisfying too.
