How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Since I was a teenager I picked up an 8mm film camera & made my first film for school. Since Ithen I have never stopped producing visual stories for magazines, newspapers , TV & now the digital world.

I prefer to protect people's privacy but just to be a bit cheeky & say that I have heaps & heaps of repeat customers so I must be doing something right

Are they trained? ie: not just use a 'point&shoot' autmatic but trained how to use equipment professionally.  Have you ever had your work broadcast &/or commissioned by an editor? Can your staff multi-task? Can I have a reference? Who actually rocks up on the day & performs the shoot?

Many years of industry experience & a reputation of delivereping on time all the time. I have always owned my own businesses and taken them to the top of their industry in Melbourne, London, & now Coffs Harbour. You can ask any of my suppliers & any of my clients for a reference.

Key message they are trying to say to theoir audeince & why. Date of project. Location. Budget. Lighting. Audio conditions. What they will be supplying: eg: talent, props etc.

Have a concise idea of what you want & what platforms you want it to go out on. Provide examples of what you do & don't like. Be organised & on time. If the shoot is due to start at 9am & it is a corporate shoot please ensure that the people/staff are there on time etc.

I am highly skilled across all disciplines and can multi-skill/task. For example I can film on the camera, handle capturing the audio & set up lights on my own & also direct the talent,film whilst I am on the go.

Normally assess each project on its own merits & then quote accordingly. I charge industry standard rates but I am also fast & economical as my background was filing stories as a travel photojournalist & film maker & I was always on very tight, strict deadlines.
