All work is insured and guaranteed and no job is ever left until complete satisfaction. Any repairs within the first 12 months are free of charge (cracked tiles)

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

When my son was born i needed flexibility so decided to take up tiling. i done the necessary qualifications and set up my own business, i always had a knack for tiling and decided to take it up full time and I've never looked back.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

A slightly more mature in age couple were desperate for a walk in wet room as both were finding it difficult to climb into the bath and shower. i had the floor screeded, and had a small seat fixed in the shower wall so they could be comfortable while showering, both were delighted.

I love being able to change the look of peoples houses, seeing the looks on customers faces when their new tiles are installed and everything looks great.

How much do you charge per m2, it all depends on the type of tile and what is being tiled. Ceramic is always the cheapest to lay and natural stone will always be the most expensive.

i have had my own business for many years and realise that to be successful you must always be honest to your word and complete every job to the highest possible standard. i have a family to support and without being good at what i do this wouldn't be possible.

What type of tile is being used, what surface the tile is going onto, if there are any special features wanted (mosaics etc), if materials have to be provided by myself or if the customer is arranging them. Most importantly what size the job is.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

After the initial visit from me, i will always give advice to get things ready so it saves the expensive of myself preparing the walls or floor. 1. Get whiteset scrapped off walls prior to tiling. 2. Ensure rooms are empty and ready for work to start. 3. Ask for use of my trade accounts.

I work for myself, i therefore need to ensure that i have a steady stream of jobs and the only way to do is, is by keeping my prices as low as possible. I always strive to give the best value possible.

How do you normally charge for your service?

The majority of jobs will be charged of a meter rate, however for more difficult jobs there will be a day rate applied, a very competitive price will always be reached.

shaping and sealing natural stone tiles is an area of tiling that i excel in, from bullnosing edges to pencil rounds to polishing mitres after filling them with Tenax

I had my own business in the UK for 5 years, which was very successful and i was the tiler of choice for 2 large development companies. I have been tiling in Australia for the last 2 years and worked with some of the best Tiling companies in Perth. I have a Cert 3 in wall and floor tiling.
