Mark came out and towed my car.. This was great service, he was friendly and efficient and explained what was to be done in detail. I will definitely be looking at using his service again if I need this..

I have been a tow truck driver for over 7 years. I have worked with many different types of vehicles for both towing and roadside assistance.
How do you normally charge for your service?
Charges vary depending on distance and kms for towing. We charge a standard rate for jumpstarts, tyre changes our our of fuel but towing varies depending on distance and location
Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?
Yes we are an insured becuase we have public liability and on hook insurance for our tow trucks. I work is done with the highest standard of professionalism. We have been in this trade for over 7 years
What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?
We need to know what the customer requires e.g jumpstart, tyre change out of fuel or a tow. If they need a tow we need to know what is wrong with the car and what kind of care it is. We need to know where they are located and if they need a tow where it needs to go to
What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?
I have had experience in this field for over 7 years. This my own business and i am the main driver. I want to ensure that my customers are satisfied with my services so they will use me again or refer me to others.

How long will it take you to arrive. We try and reach all our customers within one hour but if we do at anytime take over an hour we definitely let our customers know and we continue to be in touch with them on our way to them so they know how far we are

I have been doing towing for over 7 years so I specialise in this more than anything else but I am also very specialised in battery changes jumpstarts, tyre changes etc

I am very realistic with my prices and quotes I don't just quote of the top of my head I check the distances and KMs before I quote a job so that i am not over priced
How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips
Customers can save money by trying to check what the problem is they need to know what the issue is with the car so that if it is a jumpstart i can just do that without having to tow the vehicle
What do you like most about your job?
I like the fact that I am out and about everyday I meet new people on a daily basis it is not just the same routine all day everyday I go different places and see different things
Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?
This old man had a beat up very old car which I had to tow he was so excited that he was getting it fixed because he was wanting to drive around Australia in it
How did you decide to get into your line of work?
I have always been into cars and working on them I used to be a panel beating but it was difficult for me to continue and one of my friends started me up with him and I haven't looked back ever since

Customer should ask the price first and also how long it will take for the tow truck driver to arrive. They need to ensure that they have been told the right time and not kept waiting
