Business description

At Trained Tails we believe that all dogs (and owners!) can benefit from a bit of training. Whether your animal is going to be an Assistance Animal, travelling through life with you, or a beloved family member coming on a few adventures, you can both reap the benefits by preparing and planning for the relationship you want. We provide positive behavioural training and behavioural advice for pets with difficulties, rescues, puppies and Assistance Animals in training. Our training focuses on a handler-centric style of learning and we insist that all handlers learn and follow along to ensure there is a family wide approach to good behaviour. If you’re interested in positive reinforcement and clicker training dogs then we’re the team for you and your furry friend.

Frequently asked questions

  • Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

We do not have insurance. We guarantee to only use positive training methods, at no point in time will we use punishment as a form of training.

  • What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

How many sessions will I need? I generally answer this by first asking more questions about their goals and the dog's progress so far so that I can give a more accurate response. Generally after the first session I can give a clear idea of how realistic your goals are with your particular dog.
