Sarah was amazing!!! She assisted me with some interior design at my new house when I was feeling overwhelmed. She listened to my ideas and followed through quickly and efficiently. Over the moon with the end result and would reccomend her to anyone!!!

I have studied and completed the Diploma of Interior Design and Decoration with 4 years working in the industry drawing kitchens, bathroom and joinery, furniture/accessories specifications, real-estate fit-outs and also workplace design.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips
- Clients can save money by shopping for bargains online. Be on the look-out for discounts.
- Don't always shop at low-end stores as it may be cheap but the quality in the long run is not great.
- Spend more on investment pieces such as a sofa or bed because it will effect how you sit and sleep.
What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

I've been working in the industry for 4+ years on various jobs such as apartment floor plan layouts and styling, high end residential homes and also commercial jobs including land sales office and info centres, restaurants and work place fit outs.
What do you like most about your job?
Being able to turn the client's ideas into reality. It's amazing how a drawn concept becomes the real thing! A house is just a house until you put some furniture in it so I love seeing my clients have a smile on their face when finally they can relax and enjoy living in their home.
How did you decide to get into your line of work?
I grew up in Melbourne and always wanted to be a designer but wasn't sure what designer I wanted to be until I went ot an open day for an interior design school and since then I have never looked back!

How do you charge? $180 per hour for consultations and smaller jobs.
Kitchen and bathroom designs are a fixed fee for design only; excluding project management.
Large decorating jobs are custom tailored to each client as every client has different types of rooms in their home.
What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?
How does the process work? Important to know how long a project takes even if it's just an estimate as a designer has multiple projects going on at once and may not be able to start your project straight away and also it's important to know that some furniture may take up to 3 months delivery
How do you normally charge for your service?
I charge a flat fee for kitchen and bathroom design. Hourly rate for consultations and tailored quote for larger decorating jobs as each client's home is different and the number of rooms they want to decorate vary from 1-6 rooms.
What makes your pricing competitive?
We quote as per the job and is unique for every client so that they know exactly the cost up front.
