I was offered an apprenticeship with a leading plastering firm in Melbourne.  As my knowledge increased, so did my passion for exceeding the average.  I enjoy all facets of my job, the work that I do, the pleasure I provide my clients on the finished product and the opportunity it provides in the relationships I build.

To provide an accurate quote I always ask the following of all my prospective clients: When will the project be ready to start? When are you looking to have the job completed? What type of products you would prefer? Do you have other trades working simultaneously?

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Ensure your project is at a stage where correct measurements can be accurately taken. Ensure other trades (I.e. plumbing, electrical) have commenced, providing my team with the required access to complete work without interruptions. Ensure adequate dry space for materials to be delivered and stored.

Yards Ahead Plastering calculate pricing based on current market standards.  Materials are charged at the cost price provided by the supplier with no markup to you.  Labour is charged based on superior workmanship and is competitive with others in the trade.

How do you normally charge for your service?

After the initial quotation, a set price is written which guarantees both labour and materials.  To ensure smooth operation I request all materials be paid prior to or on delivery.  Labour is worked out at a weekly rate.

I specialise in all aspects of dry wall/gyprock plastering.  If there was a particular area I would specialise in, it would be providing my clients with a finish they can be proud of.
