Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

Being a fully registered medical practitioner, I have both public liability insurance and personal indemnity insurance at my clinic. The result of my treatment is based on how compliant the patient is to the treatment plan.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I have always wanted to help people stemming from Western Medicine being unable to help me with my skin problems as a teenager so I ventured forth and discovered how much Chinese Medicine could help people. This coupled with my background in Martial Arts made it an easy decision.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

I helped an old gentleman when I was working in the United States, he was unable to walk without the assistance of a cane but after several sessions he was pain free and mobile. He told me he would continue to carry the stick just in case he ran into someone he did not like and also admitted that I was the first "Oriental" he had ever spoken to in his life.

What do you like most about your job?

I get to help people and make a genuine difference to their quality of life. I meet a lot of people who have chronic problems for a duration of longer than 30 years and I am able to get rid of these problems and they view life in a whole different light.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

It is paramount that you find out if your practitioner is registered at http://www.ahpra.gov.au/. If they are registered (i.e. General Practitioner) but not for Acupuncture/Herbal Medicine then it is still ILLEGAL for them to practice so be wary about that.

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

The most commonly asked question would be if I can assist them with any type of medical condition that has been listed as Idiopathic (of unknown origin) by Western Medicine and the answer is usually Yes.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

As mentioned before, I am fully registered and qualified to assist you with your health issues but professionalism aside - I am not out to make clients, I am out to make friends. I have a deep passion for both my patients and my craft.

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

Accepted Answer

I am fully registered with the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia, the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and the Australian Acupuncture Chinese Medicine Association meaning that I am fully qualified to help you medically and you are also able to claim rebates if you are with a private health fund. Registration also means that I am overseen and governed by NSW Health so that I maintain up to date knowledge for my skill set.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

My rates are a set standard. I will be able to provide a prognosis upon receiving all your details and performing a diagnosis but since I am a medical professional and not a trade person - I am unable to provide "Quotes".

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

1) Check you practitioner is registered at http://www.ahpra.gov.au/ and if they are not, it is illegal for them to practice Acupuncture or Herbal Medicine (individual registrations required for each category).  2) Do not purchase herbs on information you received online or from a friend, they might be bad for you.  3) Bring all your western medical test results if applicable. If your practitioner has studied Chinese Medicine in Australia (as I have), they are able to read these results and incorporate them into your treatment.

Are there any special offers you would like to offer to Oneflare customers?

By the practicing laws placed by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), it is not legal to list a special offer in regard to reduce pricing. We at the Chinese Health Institute understand and adhere to these principals placed forth to create a balanced and fair pricing system by this governing body.

What makes your pricing competitive?

Can you really put an amount on good health? If so,the amount I charge is fair considering the medical training and experience I have. Anyone considering the cost as too high is welcome to seek out a cheaper alternative but please keep in mind that not everyone has the same degree of training or registration. Ensure whoever you see is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency for your own safety.

How do you normally charge for your service?

My services are as follows: $80 for Acupuncture including Diagnosis (1 hour). $80 for Herbal Medicine Consult/Diagnosis (30min - 1hr). $95 for Massage and Acupuncture including Diagnosis (1 hour). $45 for Massage (30 minutes). $60 for Herbal Granules (2 weeks worth).

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

Psycho-emotional health. Assisting with the symptoms associated with stress, anxiety and depression. Symptoms that may occur include lethargy, muscle pain, listlessness, insomnia, palpitations and panic attacks.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I have a Masters of Health Science (Traditional Chinese Medicine) and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Traditional Chinese Medicine) from the Western Sydney University as well as a Diploma of Traditional Chinese Massage. Education and training aside I have worked all over the Sydney area and my skills have also taken me internationally to work in Asia and the United States. When I am not working at my clinic, I teach Chinese Medicine at the Endeavour College of Natural Health in Sydney, passing on the knowledge and skill I have to the next generation of medical students.
