I'm fully qualified with trade certificates. I'm fully insured and have public liability. I also guarantee my work and can provide a workmanship warranty.

I was offered an apprenticeship at 18 years old. I love my job and its become a bit of a passion.

I have many but one that was sweet was when I did a job for a very old lady in North Perth and everyday she would cook me meals and we would eat together. Then one day the old lady needed a few more groceries for our lunch so we both went to the local Woolworth's together to do some shopping.

I get great satisfaction from seeing the finished job. It's also very satisfying to see how happy the customers are with the finished job and the overall service I provided from start to finish. I take great pride in my work, I'm continually looking to improve in any way possible, I’ve always got the long term vision in mind, I'm extremely motivated and very determined to be successful.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Generally when customers are looking to hire a business for their job they’ll do their own background research before making contact or deciding to hire them. Otherwise, if they ask me whether I've got the skills and if I know how to do the job, ill give them an honest answer of course. I'm not just going to take on any random job that I don’t know anything about for the sake of it.

-What type of work is going to be involved to getting the job completed. It gives them a good understanding of what to expect and how to best prepare the house prior to work commencing.  -The costs involved. -The time frame required to complete the job. -My availability.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

Accepted Answer

My goal is to continue building and maintain a business with an outstanding reputation. Then when customers see my name or I'm recommended to them, they already know they can trust me to get the job done properly first time every time. I pride myself on being very honest with customers and I won't ever walk away from a job without doing the best I possibly could. Professionalism in all aspects of the job is very important to me.

I'm very honest, reliable, trustworthy and won't ever take shortcuts or do dodgy work. If anything, I generally go one step above the required specifications for piece of mind the job will last a lifetime and be problem free. Having an excellent reputation whether its on the internet or through word of mouth is crucial to building and maintaining a successful business. I'll always make sure myself and more importantly the customer is extremely happy with the overall service and quality of the job.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

-Will the rooms be empty from furniture or will they be remaining in the rooms and need protections etc. -If any other trades will be involved in the job. -Access to job. -Whether its a vacant property or owner/tenant occupied. -What hours of the day are available for working.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

-Remove any furniture from the rooms.  -Protect any remaining furniture, house items and floors ready to start. -Depending on the job size, I sometimes ask the customer if they'd like to sand it once its dry prior to painting.

What makes your pricing competitive?

I don't really worry about how much other business's are charging, I just back in my own systems as it's always worked well for me. Regardless of the customer and/or type of job I don't under quote or over quote. My prices are fair and are generally suited for people wanting a proper job and of high quality. I'm not a cowboy, my jobs aren't of poor quality, so I'm not out there to compete with other businesses that don't necessarily offer the same type of service as myself. The price I provide is what it is and if it's not in the customers budget, I just move on.

How do you normally charge for your service?

I have a very good understanding of exactly what’s involved in nearly all different types of jobs and the time frames involved to get the job completed. Therefore, it helps to provide a fairly accurate price so the result ends up being fair for both parties. This is important to ensure at the end of the week/month I'm making required income to continue to maintain a successful business. I'm not someone who just over quotes jobs to cover my backside, I'm a very honest and fair person which most people can generally tell and appreciate it.

REPAIRS , RENOVATIONS & NEW PROJECTS. -All aspects of Plasterboard Ceilings & Walls. -Suspended ceilings. -Stud framed partition walls. -Fancy ceilings & bulkheads. -Covering over internal bricks with plasterboard. -Internal render repairs. -Cornice & skirting.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I'm a qualified Wall and Ceiling Fixer and have been in the industry for over 12 years. In my earlier days, I gained crucial experience from working on Perth's largest commercial constructions sites, which include; Fiona Stanley Hospital, District Law Courts, St John of God, IKEA etc. Thankfully I learnt the correct work methods and installation specifications. There was no such thing as someone doing a poor job, it wouldn't have been accepted under any circumstances by our boss or the builder. It was very simple, either do it properly or find another job.
