We have liability insurance. We also haveappropriate licences such as PPCA. WWC. We also have appropiate registrations to perform & supply our services as a disc jockey. (Disc jockey work is a service type job so we aren't required to be an insured business in same manner as) tradesperson

I got into DJ'ing via my love of music. Having DJ'd for some years i really enjoy selecting & playing songs that party or function guests that really enjoy dancing too.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

City Beat Disco can provide a general quote without much information, as our prices for a DJ with gear to dj at a function or party are usually the same for most metro areas but there may a small additional charge for some things.  City Beat Disco can provide an exact quote when we know the following: Location of the venue or party. The name of the venue also helps as we may be familiar with it. Venue access - are there stairs, or specific requirements re loading in of equipment. Is parking easily available. Does the venue impose certain requirements re performers, djs, etc working at the venue

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Quotes are provided according to which venue, location, access, difficulty & duration of setup. If we know more about all those, we are more likely to provide a special offer to clients.

What makes your pricing competitive?

Very competitive rates. Our prices are quoted per night, not per hour (for up to 5 hours of DJ & music play time). We also offer rates for less hours for kids discos & schools. We also offer special rates for kids & schools. Discount prices are available Sunday - Thursday  for all types of functions

How do you normally charge for your service?

DJ services require a booking with a deposit paid within a few weeks after the booking. The balance is then required on the night of the function. Payments via direct banking must be received before the function date

Specialist DJ for Kids discos & parties. Specialist DJ for Weddings.  We travel to all Melbourne Metro locations & many Victorian Towns & country areas. With our prices usually including any travel fee (up to 80km)
