Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We are insured and we are happy to email a  copy of our insurance certificate to you on request.  We provide warranties on all of our work ranging from 3 months to 5 years.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I felt unhappy in what I was doing and needed a change. A friend had a pest control business in another city, I'd helped them out occasionally with basic pest control stuff and decided to give it a go myself and voilà, A1 Professional Pest Control was born.

What do you like most about your job?

Accepted Answer

I like the freedom of working for myself, owning my own business and meeting new people every day. I get to work outdoors and and get access to some great locations that most people will never have access too.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Accepted Answer

Always ask if the person is licensed.  Ask how long they have been licensed. Ask to see there license. Do they have insurance? Ask for a copy of their insurance papers and get more then 1 quote but remember, cheaper isn't always better!

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

We have a track record of turning up when requested, on time ,if we make a booking we stick to it.  But, there's always a but, if for any reason we are unable to turn up on time or need to re schedule we notify you, we don't believe in no shows or leaving our customers out of the loop. And as far as trustworthy, no criminal records here!

We are a family owned business that takes note of the little things. We listen to your needs and try to exceed your expectations, not just meet them. We take pride in our work and wont leave until the job is done and our customer is happy.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

We need to know how big your house  or office/ commercial space is so we can provide an accurate quote. We need to know what pests you are having problems with - to the best of your knowledge - and we need to know what you have done prior to us coming out.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

1. Have regular inspections, don't wait till its too late 2. Always ask questions, if there is anything you are unsure of, call us and see if we can help. 3. Follow through on our recommendations, it could save us time and you money!

Are there any special offers you would like to offer to Oneflare customers?

We will offer all One Flare customers a 5% discount when they make a booking and mention One Flare to Rachel or Gordon or free rodent baiting with a general pest treatment.

What makes your pricing competitive?

Accepted Answer

Our pricing is in line with the industry standard across Canberra. You will always find a cheaper price if you look hard enough but you wont match us on quality. Remember, cheaper isn't always better.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Most of our charges our fixed but we do occasionally have to make site visits to provide quotes or treatment proposals as over the phone is quite difficult in some situations. But once quoted there are no surprises and that price is locked in.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

Although we treat all pests in all situations.We specialise in termite and bird control.  Termites can destroy your home office or even cubby house in a matter of months so being vigilant is a must and pest birds can make an unsightly, unhygienic mess of your beautiful home, shop-front or commercial space and we can help.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

We are a  family owned business run by a mum (Rachel) and dad (Gordon). Rachel has many years of administration experience she loves to taking the calls and listening, YES! listening! Something other companies have forgotten how to do.  Gordon is a licensed pest control technician with 8 years experience and knows how to deal with any pest!  He pays attention to the smallest detail ensuring the job is completed properly and promptly.
