• Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

  Adelaide DJ Services are a registered Australian business and guarantee the quality of our work. Business Number: BN05395409. Adelaide DJ Services hold a current Phonographic Performance Company of Australia (PPCA) Licence which permits the public performance of a sound recording under the Copyright Act. Adelaide DJ Services PPCA Licence No: 526506. When a business wants to broadcast, communicate or publicly perform a recording, they usually require two licences – one from APRA|AMCOS & one from PPCA or each copyright owner (usually the record company). Adelaide DJ Services APRA/AMCOS Licence No:1881 522 55. All Adelaide DJ Services DJs have full Public Liability insurance policies. We have certificates for each & every DJ and can provide these on request to the client or venue. If your DJ Company is professional they will have Public Liability insurance for each of their DJs. In fact many venues require you to show proof of insurance. Many unprofessional DJs will tell you that it is the venues responsibility to have Public Liabilities insurance. The venue does have their own policy, this is guaranteed, however the venue wants to ensure that those performing at their venue have the ability to cover any bodily injury or property damage that can occur from their performance or from the equipment they use. Ensure the DJ you use is insured.

• How did you decide to get into your line of work?

  Billy, the Director of Adelaide DJ Services, began entertaining & playing gigs with bands whilst still in high school. He started touring with bands and playing for weddings while studying music at the Elder Conservatorium of Music in Adelaide South Australia. Billy began work as a DJ in the early 2000s after relocating to Melbourne where he worked as a music teacher & continued to play drums and percussion and tour with many bands. Slotting into the “DJ gig scene” came naturally and easily due to Billy’s extensive music industry experience. MC skills also came naturally to Billy due to his teaching experience, where talking in front of groups, both large and small, is an everyday occurrence. Billy began fitting in DJ gigs around his band commitments; working for hotels & other Mobile DJ companies. This provided Billy the opportunity to perfect his DJ and MC skills. In 2003 Billy returned to Adelaide where he continued to teach music, DJ, and perform with bands for entertainment agents around Adelaide. In 2009 he started his own DJ service specialising in weddings. Billy is a highly professional DJ, MC and percussionist with a strong reputation for the highest level of service.
