Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

I have all current insurances in place.  If a customer is not happy with their tax return, I will go through it with them in detail and make any necessary changes to ensure they are satisfied

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I have always loved number and figures and statistics, so I put 2 and 2 together and thought accountancy is for me, so went on to do further study as a mature student to get my qualification

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

A story would be a new client of mine came to me and asked me to redo a previous company income tax return for them as they werent confident they were claiming everything.  When I went through it all with them, they were not told any of this and I have probably saved them about $18,000 in tax

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

A customer needs to feel comfortable with their accountant, as sometimes we need to ask them some personal questions.  I find general conversation is a good ice breaker

Initially the question is what do you charge, the next question is usually what can I claim.  I ask them their occupation and then go through a list of deductions with them.

I care about my client, and want to ensure they understand their business and what they are entitled to.  I will do anything that I am not comfortable with or anything that would jeopordise my reputation and licence.

I need to know if a customer has a rental property or any other investments.  If the customer runs a business,or any depreciation that may be applicable to their tax return

a customer can put all there expenses in a cashbook and add up columns, Individuals can add up receipts before coming to me, or customers can put data into a software package ie: MYOB

Are there any special offers you would like to offer to Oneflare customers?

For Oneflare customers I would like to offer them a free June 2012 quarter BAS with every trust, or company tax return I do for them.  This is approximately a $250 saving

What makes your pricing competitive?

I work from home so my overheads are low.  I try and be fair with clients and dont overcharge.  Unlike some accountants I dont charge for emails or phone calls etc.

How do you normally charge for your service?

I charge a set rate for individual, partnership, sole trader, trust and company income tax returns.  I charge a low bookkeeping rate and a set rate for BAS statements

My speciality is small business and individual tax returns.  I ensure my clients understand what they can and cant claim and explain this in their tax return interview.
