How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I needed to produce the branding and promotional material for a personal project of my own, so I focused upon developing those skills. I then simply offered them to others, and the more for others I do, the more I learn and refine for my own projects.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

With three of my regular clients I am now involved in start up initiatives, spinning off new businesses in fields I would never have planned to delve into. I like that.

I like adaptability and variety in terms of the range of work I produce, and being able to keep my own hours.

Because I want to remain an honest person. I want to gain a regular clientele who recommend me to others. Word of mouth is the best promotion tool.

Because of my broad skillset, and strategic encompassing approach, I rarely need to refer to other talent to complete a job, which keeps costs lower, and the production process streamlined.

Plan ahead with your intention for the work you need produced. Where is it to be displayed and how? Is it intended for print? Who are the intended audience/clientele? Do you have any examples of what you're after, and what is it about those examples? The more information you can provide, the better.

What makes your pricing competitive?

My clients tend to get far more for their money simply through the breadth of my skillsets. It's just as easy for me to create an animated banner or social media post as it is a still version. I also know the fundamentals of print assets, so I know to keep all that in mind ahead of time.

How do you normally charge for your service?

If a one-off job, then by the hour. If a more complex project like an identity suite, then I charge per project, often split into tiers. I work to the client's budget.

Motion graphics, so promotional videos, social media, and animated content for web. Complete identity suites for events, products, services, and businesses, professionals, and creatives.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

3 years freelance in graphic and motion design, following completion of a Bachelor of Communication Design. Each year I create the identity and promotional material for exclusive couture runway show 'Angels with Wings', in Gold Coast and Melbourne, and maintain a string of regular clients.
