Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

I am not a fan of using previous couples for advertising. They have invited me into one of the most special moments of their lives so I respect that. Word of mouth from them though certainly helps and has got me a lot of work over the last 8 years. I have actually married every member of one family.

What do you like most about your job?

I get to meet new people on good terms and officiate at one of the most important times of their lives. (And to be paid to do it is even better!!!!!)

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

I guess the best question to ask is "can you help me make my ceremony the way i want it?". Also meet the person first to make sure you and your partner find the celebrant to be a "good fit". there is nothing worse than having a celebrant you don't really like or who bosses you around.

I enjoy working with people and because I only do one wedding per week I have the time to dedicate to make your day special.

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

I work closely with couples to ensure they get the ceremony they want. The more relaxed you are the better chance you have of having an awesome time. I have been told being an easy going male, I make the grooms feel relaxed while we are waiting at the alter.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

I need to know where the wedding is and a time and date if possible. Bringing documents to our first meeting would also be good.

What makes your pricing competitive?

I do this as a part time job because i love it. i don't try and make a living out of it so I charge ridiculous prices or try and fit in a number of ceremonies in one day. I am not rushed and am available all day. it helps the bride and groom relax which helps them have a great day.

How do you normally charge for your service?

i usually charge a booking fee of $150 due asap to confirm date as I only do one wedding per week, and the remainder of the fee is due 7 days prior to the wedding.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

I specialise in providing relaxed and stress free weddings. Together with the couple I write unique ceremonies to ensure the bride and groom get what they want. I am not in the business to make a living, so I don't charge ridiculous fees and only do one wedding per week so i am not rushed.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I have masters level qualifications and am a registered civil celebrant. i have had over 8 year experience in marrying couples and have done a great variety of ceremonies in Queensland and New South Wales.
