Anton Taminiau Photography

Hi, I'm Anton a photographer based in Perth Western Australia. I was born and grew up here in the southern suburbs of Perth. I am of dutch and indonesian heritage, so throw that in with growing up on the west coast of Australia I have had a lucky start to life. I love photography, that should say it all.. I love meeting new people, hearing new ideas and being allowed into the intimacy of peoples lives to capture their image. I started out covering documentary and environmental conflict as a freelance photographer in 2003, being published in magazines such as Stern, Vanity Fair- Germany, Paris Match, Les Monde and Marianna which has allowed me to travel to the most interesting and exciting places around the world, and meet some of the most extraordinary people. Whether it be fashion, editorial, a wedding or a portrait sitting... I feel at home behind the camera. I love my job, it enables me to work from home and enjoy the life I've created with my wonderful wife Fiona, our two crazy, oh so crazy dogs Sammy, Gilesy and my gorgeous son Bailey. I wouldn't change it for the world.
