  My problem was that our digital TV reception made TV unwatchable during bad weather and high winds. Through oneflare I got a quote from Arthur from Barry Electronics. He was able to come in 24 hours, so I made an appointment for 9.30 am. Arthur was on time. I had an old analog antenna dating back at least 30 years. During one renovation extra outlets had been installed and an amplifier had been added to boost the signal to the new outlets. Arthur understood and suggested we test the signal at the outlet most distant from the signal amplifier. Arthur explained that the testing showed that the signal strength was reasonably strong, but the signal quality was low. We agreed that as a first step we would replace the analog antenna with a new digital one. Arthur had the necessary ladders to not only get onto the roof of our Edwardian semi, but a ladder to access the old antenna and its connection which was attached to a tall chimney. When he had completed the installation Arthur and I then retested the signal at the most distant outlet. His equipment, which I was able to look at, indicated that the signal strength was still strong, and the signal quality had improved significantly. We discussed the next steps. Arthur said he could test connections, junction boxes and the signal amplifier. However he thought the increased signal quality should fix my problems. he said if I still had signal dropouts in bad weather he would be happy to come back. All done and dusted in 60 minutes. Arthur was ontime, charged the quoted amount, and was very professional in his explanation of my options and in giving me access to his analytical data on which he was basing his advice.
