I have my own insurance and I would hate to think that I had unhappy customers and I strive to full fill all my clients brief and give a guarantee that they will be happy with the outcome.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

After working in various furniture stores in Perth which offered in home consultations and also assisting many Interior Designers with their selections, I decided to obtain a Diploma in Interior Design to enable to put my many years in the industry to good use.

One of my clients who has a villa in Scarborough was transferred with her work so the villa had to be let out for rent very quickly, I gave the villa a mini makeover which included repainting new window treatments and a spring clean this resulted in a fresh new appealing look and they had 17 applicants it rented out first time advertised at a higher rent than they would have achieved before the makeover.

What do you like most about your job?

This is the best job on earth I get to meet varied and interesting people from all walks of life, they invite me into their homes to help them create beautiful yet functional living spaces.

I am always asked what would you do ? I always answer truthfully but also make sure my client knows that when working with them that I can give ideas but it is there own personality that should shine through on their projects not mine I just gently show the way.

I work very hard at providing an outstanding customer service and nothing is too much trouble for me there concerns are my concerns I treat clients the way I like to be treated arriving on time every time and following through on every request.

I provide a professional and very friendly service and do offer an affordable pricing system to allow everyone to obtain an individual designer finish in keeping with their taste.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

It is important the client and myself are on the same page if they need me just to give them a  written plan they can follow or if the need me to do the leg work and carry out all aspects of the plan for them.

What makes your pricing competitive?

I think it is essential that I get to know my clients before charging them, you have to know that you can work together on their project. I offer an initial consultation at no charge usually 30 - 45 mins then if we decide to work together  a package can be worked out.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Charges will vary depending on the individual clients requirements, but I always endevour to give the best value for  Interior Design and Decorating advice required and can work out packages on all services. Sometimes it works best to charge on an hourly basis of $95.00 .

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

Renovations no job too big or too small I have a passion for renovating bathrooms and kitchens, also Interior Decorating using existing bits and pieces whilst advising which new elements may be required to bring everything together.

With over 20 years experience in Styling Perth homes I bring a wealth of knowledge which I love to share with my clients, it doesnt matter if it is only for a colour consultation or for a full home renovation I get great personal satisfaction in knowing that my clients have benefited from using my services in either Interior Design (Diploma Interior Design) or Interior Decorating.
