What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

For any trading business we would typically require at least a copy of the signed financial reports and business tax return for the previous year. If current YTD management accounts are available then that too is useful. A structural overview of the business and connected entities/directors/shareholders will also be appreciated to gather the necessary background information. For smaller individual tax returns typically a copy of their most recent tax return lodged is sufficient, but not compulsory.

For business clients we encourage them to subscribe to XERO online accounting software to eliminate their labour time incurred collating compliance information. Have us conduct a preliminary "wealth check" of their finances and business affairs, and rely upon our years of expertise and available resources to provide quality financial advice
