No, only if the venue requires it, as per Govt. mandates.

What COVID-19 measures do you have in place?

Accepted Answer

This largely depends on the venue requirements but I am full my vaccinated and sanitise my microphones and any other equipment which is handled by others, after each use. Pre-planning meetings are carried out remotely and if need be, guests can text their requests to me to maintain social distancing.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

It was suggested by a fellow DJ friend, because we were constantly talking about music and I had been collecting music since childhood.

Too many to list but a very memorable one is where the bridal party became the flash mob and sent the crowd wild! Another is where the 8 bridesmaids did an impromptu dance for the Bride! Playing festive music at a large charity function on Christmas Day for those in need, was also very memorable.

The people! And of course the music, but seeing people have fun on the dance floor is the best! As is being part of special occasions or milestones.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

They should ask any questions they would like answered. But also speak over the phone before booking as many Dj’s who Mc have different accents / voices etc.   They should also ask their venue if there are any sound restrictions because many venues have strict noise restrictions and often we are only able to use their not so good and very quiet sound systems.

Do you MC? Yes all the time, I actually prefer to, but it’s no problem at all to co-MC with one of your family members or friends.  Do you Travel? Yes, all the time. Travel fees are based on distance / if accommodation is required etc.   Do you have all the equipment including a microphone and lights? Yes I sure do!  Are you insured? Yes fully insured for public liability.

I am fully dedicated to your event to help make it a success! I will help you plan, answer questions, make suggestions and guide you on making it a celebration to remember (for the right reasons). On the day, I arrive early to set up, neatly presented and liaise with any other vendors or venue staff to ensure we’re all on the same page. 15 years in weddings and events and I still love it!

The date, times required, access if possible (eg, is there stairs only, is it on a boat etc), and the venue or venue location.

1. By hiring me! Booking directly ensures a competitive rate from the get go.   2. By providing all relevant details / accurate information.  3. By being a good communicator- chasing people up takes a lot of time, therefore it can add to additional costs (not for myself but also other vendors also charge for time when it exceeds the standard time frame).
